  • What should I bring with me?
    1. Sun Protection 2. Water Bottle 3. Footwear you don't mind getting wet
  • Where can I park?
    There is parking along the Port Hardy Sea Walk on Market Street at the end of Seaview Drive. It is free parking and a short 1 minute walk up to the kayak shop at 8725 Seaview Drive.
  • Is there anywhere I can store my belongings?
    Yes, we have storage onsite for your belongings.
  • How do I get into the Seaview Kayak shop?
    Walk down the driveway of 8725 Seaview Drive to the garage and ring the doorbell on the garage. Please take a step back from the garage door, so we can open the garage door safely and you will be let in.
  • How long is the safety demonstration and does it count as a part of my kayaking time?
    The safety demonstration is around 15-20 minutes long. We will then help you get the kayaks safely into the water or on your car. Your allotted kayak time will start AFTER we get you on the water or packed up in your car. The guide will tell you before you take off what time you are expected to be back.
  • Can I launch my Kayak from the Seaview Kayak Shop?
    Yes, we are just across the road from the Port Hardy Kayak Launch. We will get them all set up in the water for you.
  • What should I wear?
    Layers are important and clothes you don't mind getting a little wet in. Cotton clothing is not recommended.Most importantly, shoes that you can use to walk in the water with and don't mind getting wet.
